History of Batik Malaysia Launches Book

Media Pakistan menyebut Zardari berangkat menuju Dubai pada hari Selasa (6/12) kemarin. Dia didampingi oleh dokter dan staf pribadinya untuk menjalani tes rutin terkait diagnosa kondisi kardiovaskular.

Zardari menjadi presiden setelah Partai Rakyat Pakistan-nya (PPP) miliknya memenangkan pemilihan umum pada Februari 2008, tiga bulan setelah istrinya, mantan perdana menteri Benazir Bhutto dibunuh.

Juru bicara kepresidenan Farhatullah Babar mengatakan, Zardari berada di rumah sakit untuk tes dan pemeriksaan medis yang telah direncanakan sebelumnya.
Dalam sebuah majalah web tentang kebijakan Luar Negeri AS, dituliskan bahwa Zardari telah mempertimbangkan pengunduran dirinya karena khawatir akan kesehatannya dan skandal 'memogate'.

JERUSALEM - Former Israeli president Moshe Katsav today began the seven-year prison sentence he received on charges of rape and other sex crimes.

As reported by AFP news agency on Wednesday (7/12/2011), former leader of the Jewish state was seen entering the prison near Tel Aviv Ma'asiyah on Wednesday, December 7 at about 10 am local time.

Katsav was found guilty in December 2010 and then on two counts of rape, sexual abuse, sexual abuse and preclude judicial action. During the trial the case that lasted 18 months, the Katsav described as a sexual predator that often interfere with female staff.

Katsav has filed a cassation appeal and even on the verdict. But last month, the Court rejected the petition Agug Israel Katsav kasasinya and ordered to begin serving his sentence on December 7.

On leaving his home in Kiryat Malachi, south of Tel Aviv, told reporters, Katsav insisted that he was innocent.

"One day the truth will be revealed," said Katsav told reporters when he would go to jail.

"The state imprisons a grandfather of his grandchildren, a former president. I never hurt anyone, I treat everyone with respect," said 66-year-old man.

Israeli president Katsav was first sent to prison. Last year he was convicted of raping a woman twice during his tourism minister, also abusing and harassing two other women when he became president. When the first case sticking, Katsav was forced to resign as head of state in June 2007.

Washington - President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama praised Indonesia in ratifying the nuclear test ban. Indonesia's Obama called the move as a step to combat the spread of nuclear weapons.

"I urge all countries to sign and ratify the treaty so that it can apply as soon as possible," Obama said as reported by AFP on Wednesday (07/12/2011).

Obama also said he would continue to press the U.S. Senate to ratify the treaty for U.S. security in the future.
"America must be a global leader in order to prevent proliferation, and adopted as the entrance into force the CTBT (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty)," Obama said.

U.S. Senate to block the treaty in 1999 and until now still not ratified the agreement.

Supporters of ratification of this said, the U.S. ratification of this treaty will send an important signal to the world about the importance of checking nuclear proliferation.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also praised Indonesia ratified the nuclear test ban.

"The United States, which has observed a moratorium on nuclear test explosions since 1992, is committed to ratify the nuclear test ban treaty," Clinton said.

"The United States called on all governments to declare or reaffirm their commitment to not conduct nuclear tests, and we urge all countries that have not ratified the treaty to join us in this effort," said the wife of former U.S. President Bill Clinton's.
