Wow! Astronomers Find 2
Black Hole Greater Than the Sun
Berkeley - Wow! The scientists found two of the largest black holes whose size miliran times larger than the sun. The big hole is millions of light years from Earth.

As reported by AFP on Tuesday (02.12.2011), the scientists found two of the largest black hole ever observed before, with the size of the billions of times larger than the sun. Two big black holes are located in the heart of a pair of galaxies hundreds of light years away from the sun.

In the scientific journal Nature is mentioned, every black hole is estimated to have masses of about 10 billion times larger than the sun, far exceeding the largest black hole ever known before.

The team of researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, led by Nicholas McConnell and Chung-Pei Ma said, a black hole is situated at the point of NGC 3842, a group of bright galaxies within 320 million light years from Earth.

The second hole is located in NGC 4889 and located in the largest and brightest galaxies in the Coma cluster, about 335 million light years away. "The two black holes is significantly larger than expected," wrote the astronomers.

These scientists say, the differences affect the growth and evolution of galaxies and black holes than smaller galaxies.

Astronomers suspect, since the beginning of the universe are black holes with masses as two sizes of black holes that are currently found.

"There is a symbiotic relationship between black holes and the galaxies that existed from the beginning of time," said a Yale astronomer Kevin Schawinski.
