Israeli air strike in Gaza kills one person
Gaza - The Israeli army has re-launched air strikes into Gaza. A Palestinian was killed and five others wounded in the attack.

According to the Islamic Jihad group in a statement quoted by AFP news agency on Wednesday (7/12/2011), Israel launched air strikes in the east of Zeitun, Gaza Jalu.

According to the group, Ismail al Areer (22), a member of Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, was killed in the attack. Five members of the Islamic Jihad group were also injured in the attack on Wednesday morning local time.

The Israeli military confirmed the attack. Mentioned that the Israeli warplanes target two terrorist squad which is preparing to launch rocket attacks on Israeli soldiers from two different places in the territory of the Gaza Strip.

"The attackers were identified so as to prevent rocket attacks," the Israeli military said in a statement.

Earlier on Sunday, December 4 last, Israeli warplanes also launched two air strikes on the Gaza Strip. The attack was in response to rocket attacks from Gaza into the Eshkol region, southern Israel. No Israeli casualties in the attack.

In early October, Israeli military officials warned that the rocket attacks from Gaza will continue pushing an aggressive Israeli action in Gaza.
