Naas, rocket attacks into Israel injures Lebanese Villagers


Tyre - A rocket fired into Israel from Lebanese territory. But the unlucky, the rocket is actually crashed in a village in the border region until injuring a Lebanese woman.

This was conveyed by a senior Lebanese security official told AFP on Monday (12/12/2011). Katyusha rockets were fired from the Bent Jbail and fell in Hula village located near the border of Israel.

The incident comes amid heightened tension in Lebanon due to insurgency in neighboring Syria which had lasted nine months and more heated. Emerging concerns of the Lebanese government that what happened in Syria will be transmitted to the Lebanese society.

The border region of Lebanon and Israel is known for never deserted from the attack. On 29 November, a series of rocket attacks fired from the border into Israeli territory. This attack triggered a counterattack from Israel. However, fortunately there were no casualties from both countries.

Meanwhile, last week, a bomb exploded in the middle of the road in the city of Tyre and wounded five French soldiers who are members of the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon.

The French government and the opposition in Lebanon blamed the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for the attack on UN peacekeepers. According to them, the attack was supported by Hezbollah, which is allied with the Syrian government.
